The Sohang Pants were born on the living room floor — where Cornelia Kauhs and Christina Hagerman, a beloved yoga teacher from Basel, sat together and brought this vision to life. It was a simple, deeply felt intention: to create a yoga pant that is comfortable, non-transparent, and adapts to every body without constraining it.

Since 2009, the Sohang has been the foundation of everything Breath of Fire stands for. Worn by thousands of practitioners across Europe, it has become a daily companion — on the mat, in meditation, and in everyday life.

What makes it unique

  • 2-in-1 integrated skirt — a soft skirt flows over the pants, gently shaping the hips while allowing full freedom of movement. Feminine, fluid, and functional.
  • Adjustable gaiters — built-in foot warmers that slide under the foot during inversions, fold up to adjust length, or pull up over the calves for a different look.
  • Pressure-free waistband — gentle support without belly compression, allowing natural, full breath through every posture.
  • 220g brushed jersey — soft, slightly thicker organic cotton that moves with the body, keeps its shape wash after wash, and feels like a second skin.

Honest note on practice style

The Sohang is designed for slow, grounded practices. The generous fabric and integrated skirt are not ideal for dynamic styles like Vinyasa, Ashtanga, or Power Yoga — the extra material can get in the way of fast-flowing sequences. Ethically made in Europe

Every Sohang pant is knitted, dyed, and sewn in Portugal, in a small family workshop we visit personally. All fabrics are certified organic and dyed with processes gentle enough for a baby's skin. 92% certified organic cotton · 8% elastane for lasting shape and comfort.

Styling tip

For a refined silhouette, choose the same colour for your top and pants. The tonal look creates a subtle vertical line that visually elongates the body — effortless and timeless. Pairs beautifully with the Sohang Top and Amba Jacket.

When first unfolded, the pants may look very long — that is by design. The gaiters adjust the length precisely to your foot and style preference.

Care

Machine wash at 30°C, inside out. Air dry only — no tumble dryer. This preserves the elastane and keeps the fabric looking beautiful for years.
