The Vega Leggings were created by Cornelia Kauhs, founder of Breath of Fire, as a reliable performance essential. Their bamboo-cotton-elastane jersey offers light compression with a naturally smooth finish — supporting the body, smoothing the silhouette, and staying perfectly in place through every movement.

Honestly made — the story behind our Evolve collection

This piece comes from our Evolve collection — and there's a small story behind it. In 2019, when Covid disrupted supply chains, our family atelier in Portugal lost access to certified organic cotton. To keep the brand alive and honour our promise to natural fibres, we found a wonderful partner workshop in Turkey — fully solar-powered, certified, and run with the same ethical care we hold dear. We were genuinely happy to produce there.

Today, we have returned to our original Portuguese family atelier for the rest of our collections. The human warmth, the respect for skilled Portuguese artisans, and the quality we find there is something we have not seen anywhere else in the textile industry — and that's where our heart remains. Since 2009.

All fabrics are certified organic and dyed with processes gentle enough for a baby's skin.

Between two sizes? Size down for stronger compression and smoothing — size up for a more relaxed fit.

How to measure: Waist = narrowest point • Hips = fullest point. Tolerance ±2 cm due to fabric and production.

Care

Machine wash at 30°C, inside out, with similar colours. Air dry only — no tumble dryer. This preserves the elastane and keeps the compressive support over time.
